Our Story
The name comes from a poker hand — a busted flush — in a Travis McGee novel by John D. MacDonald. Wim read it at fifteen and knew: if he ever started a band, that would be the name.
The Busted Flush is five friends from Antwerp who play blues, boogie, rock 'n' roll, funk and zydeco. Not because they have to — because they love it. One or two gigs a month, original songs mixed with covers, and a room full of people having a good time.
"Our songs are about something, as they should be in our genre," says Wim. "The Rich is about a minority of super-rich who too often escape attention. The Blues Police is a wink at purists who think you can only play blues with the right guitar."
